Upcoming schedule:

• Trees scheduled for removal will be marked and cut down in the next few weeks for the entire project area.
• Starting in Mid-August the following items will occur in Phase 1 (East 5th Street between 1st and 2nd Avenue and East 2nd Avenue from 5th Street south to the bend in road).
• Phase 1 will be reclaimed (turned to gravel). The roadway will still be passable for local traffic, but delays should be expected while construction equipment shapes and compacts the rock. 
• Temporary water lines will be placed and tested.  Affected properties will have their water service switched to the temporary lines.  
• Sanitary sewer, watermain, and storm sewer will be installed in Phase 1.

Project schedule is weather dependent and subject to change.

 


 

Alcon Excavating Inc. of Rochester, MN was awarded the project.  Alcon plans to start the project middle to later summer.  Future updates will detail anticipated project schedules and project phasing. 

Minnesota Energy Resources will be installing new gas lines in the project area.  This work is expected to begin the week of May 18^th
